The Famous Luxury Hotel – The Ritz London
The Ritz is undoubtedly one of the best-known hotels in London. It is constantly mentioned when the topic of “The Best of…” in the English capital comes up. This makes The Ritz an easy choice for a guide to luxury hotels in London.
The Ritz London is, of course, a 5-star establishment and offers the ultimate luxury for its guests. The hotel has just recently celebrated its 110th anniversary and it remains one of the world’s best-known luxury hotels.
The picture below shows one of the rooms in this classic British hotel. A picture is worth a thousand words and this one speaks volumes for the luxury and beauty of the surroundings.
- Free Wi-Fi is of course available throughout this stylish Central London hotel.
The food served at The Ritz restaurant has an excellent reputation. Anything less would be surprising when bearing in mind the hotel’s reputation.
The hotel is located in the heart of London, only a few hundred meters from Buckingham Palace, where the Queen resides.
The price for an overnight stay at this luxury London hotel greatly depends on the room type you prefer. The cheapest room at The Ritz is still of a much higher standard than many of the other nice hotels in London, but it is clear that standards rise the more expensive a room you choose.

The Marriott Hotel in Central London
If you want to stay on the corner of Oxford Street and Marble Arch, overlooking Hyde Park and have a swimming pool on the premises, you may want to check yourself into the following hotel.
This is truly a luxury hotel right in the center of London, within walking distance to many of the city’s sights. You can walk down the street and shop at some of the world’s largest brands right there on Oxford Street.
Not to mention one of London’s most beautiful parks, Hyde Park, being just across the road.
There are many luxury hotels in London to choose from, but it gets harder to find a good hotel if you also require a swimming pool. There is one in this hotel – along with a fitness center, housekeeping services and room service.
- Also worth noting are the numerous good reviews from past guests.
The price for an overnight stay at this luxurious hotel is typically about £270 per night. As with the previous recommendation, the prices here are dynamic and may increase nearer to the date of arrival.

Luxury Hotel near Buckingham Palace – Hilton Park Lane
The last luxury London hotel is located a stone’s throw away from Buckingham Palace, which alone is enough to demonstrate its quality and prime location.
All the luxury hotels mentioned in this guide are located in Central London, close to the famous sights – it’s not as fun to live well, but far from the center.
This hotel is part of the world famous Hilton chain, which is a guarantee of quality in a city where standards oftentimes are slightly worse than in hotels recommended here.
- It can some times make good sense to book an overnight stay in a well-known international hotel chain as you know they never compromise on quality and standard.
Like the other two luxury hotels mentioned in this guide, this hotel is next to Hyde Park, just a bit more to the south than the aforementioned.
Thus, it is also possible to book a room with this incredible view over Hyde Park:
If you did not book a room with a view, make sure to ask the front desk when you arrive. Many hotels like to upgrade their guests when they arrive if they have rooms available. This is particularly true when talking about luxury hotels.
The price for one night is, understandably, higher than the run of the mill tourist hotels, and the staff really go the extra mile to give guests a great value for their money.
A stay at the Hilton London Park Lane can often be booked for as little as £200, making it the cheapest hotel on this list. There are also swankier rooms which costs extra but provide even more luxury.

The May Fair – a great luxury hotel
If you really want to pamper yourself and your travel partner on you London vacation, you may want to book a room at the legendary May Fair.
The May Fair is one of the hotels in London that have featured in Hollywood films – we are talking about the luxury of the highest class. The hotel takes its name from the Mayfair area – one of the finest and richest in London and also close to many of the West End Theatres, if you’re thinking about catching a musical in London.
It is a luxury hotel where the service is first rate. A doorman to open the door and staff that is ready to jump at your slightest command.
The hotel is located in the heart of London and is a merely a few minutes away from 10 Downing Street (where England’s prime minister resides) and Buckingham Palace (where the queen holds court).
Thus, the address is just as fancy as the hotel. It goes without saying that free internet is provided.
There are many different room types at The May Fair, and the prices start at just over £200 per night.
I have never stayed at The May Fair, but it is high on my to-do list. This London establishment is extremely well designed, well reviewed and the staff is top-notch.
